Customer Terms, Delivery & Privacy

Pre-launch review draft — no customer payments accepted. These disclosures describe the intended customer experience and safeguards. Verification, email delivery, download evidence, gift scheduling and printer quotations must be implemented and tested before paid sales begin. The final terms need legal review for markets served, including Australian Consumer Law. No checkbox removes rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.

1. eBook delivery and access

Once payments are enabled and an order is confirmed, the purchaser or an explicitly designated gift recipient will receive an email linking to a secure, time-limited download page. Files will not be attached to ordinary email by default. The order screen must disclose the file type (EPUB), compatible reading apps and any applicable access limits before payment.

Proposed access policy, subject to final approval: a download link is valid for 30 days after delivery, with up to five successful downloads. Customers may request a replacement link using the verified purchaser/recipient email if access expires. This limit must be enforced by the backend and clearly displayed during checkout. Purchases are licensed for personal reading; redistribution is not authorised, subject to applicable law.

We can record that a confirmation email was accepted by our email provider, whether a delivery failure or bounce was reported, when a download link was accessed, and when the file transfer was authorised or completed as observed by our server. These records cannot prove that an email reached the inbox, that a person read it, or where the downloaded file was saved on their device. Customers should check spam/junk and promotional folders before requesting a resend.

2. Purchaser and recipient verification

Before eBook delivery, the purchaser will confirm the order email and complete email verification using a short-lived link or code. Where a different eBook delivery email is entered, the website will warn the purchaser, display both addresses for review and request explicit confirmation. The receiving email must also be verified before access is issued. A gift recipient is handled through the separate gift option.

For printed books, customers must review the recipient name, full delivery address, country and postcode before submitting a paid order. A mobile number may be requested only where necessary for courier fulfilment or proportionate fraud prevention. Mobile verification will not be mandatory for every digital purchase without a justified need; it must not become a barrier to accessibility.

Never disclose verification codes, account passwords or payment credentials to a website helper. Spoken assistance may explain each step, but the customer must independently approve the final details.

3. Sending an eBook as a gift

A purchaser may choose Send as a Gift, enter the recipient's email, add an optional birthday or other occasion date, and include a personal message. Before purchase, the website will show the gift recipient, selected book and proposed delivery date. Scheduling and delivery must be confirmed by the server; if no date is selected, the customer will see the delivery timing before payment.

The purchaser's receipt goes to the purchaser, while the download access goes only to the verified recipient. The recipient will not see the purchaser's payment information. We will maintain an order audit trail linking purchaser, designated recipient, gift message and delivery events while limiting retention of personal information. A change of recipient after purchase requires a verified support process.

4. Printed books, Lulu and shipping

Paperback and hardcover books are printed to order by an independent print-on-demand provider such as Lulu. Before payment, the customer must see the selected edition, binding, quantity, book price, available delivery service, shipping charge, applicable taxes and an estimated combined production-and-shipping timeframe. The displayed estimate must be based on current supplier information and destination, not a universal guaranteed delivery date.

Manufacturing schedules, transport, customs processing and carrier delays are handled by third parties and can vary. Taylor Productions does not promise control over those services. We will nevertheless help customers with order enquiries and appropriate remedies for missing, damaged, defective or substantially delayed goods, consistent with applicable law. Delivery details may be shared with the printing and delivery partner solely to fulfil the order.

Our standard adult-novel production profile is proposed as 6 × 9 inches, black-and-white pages on cream uncoated paper, with full-colour glossy covers. Paperback and hardcover are distinct manufacturing products, each requiring its own verified interior and wrap PDFs. Fully illustrated children's books require an appropriate colour-print profile and series-specific trim size. These options must be validated against the supplier's actual available product codes before publication.

5. Order review, cancellation, refunds and legal rights

Before any payment is enabled, checkout must display a final summary and ask customers to acknowledge the selected book, format, recipient or shipping destination, applicable delivery estimates, and these terms. A website assistant may explain the information, but cannot accept on someone's behalf.

Production-on-demand and digital delivery can affect change-of-mind cancellation arrangements. Those arrangements must be separately disclosed and reviewed before launch. Nothing on this page removes statutory consumer guarantees or remedies, including rights under Australian Consumer Law where applicable.

6. Privacy and records

We intend to collect only the information needed for account and order verification, fulfilment, customer support, fraud prevention and legally required business records. Information may include purchaser and recipient names, email addresses, optional gift messages, shipping details, verification and consent timestamps, email delivery status, and limited download access logs. Payment card information must be handled by a compliant payment provider, not stored in the Taylor Productions website.

We will minimise access to customer records and restrict staff and supplier permissions. Personal information must not be exposed in public webpages or GitHub. Retention periods, international transfer arrangements, customer access and correction requests, and deletion procedures require final approval before paid launch. Non-essential marketing requires a separate choice; purchasing a book must not automatically subscribe customers to marketing.

A footer link to these policies must be present across the customer website. Order confirmation emails should include an immutable order summary, applicable policy version or dated copy, and links to the relevant terms and privacy notice.

7. Missing emails, download help and support

If an expected eBook delivery email has not arrived, first check spam/junk and promotions folders and confirm which recipient email was entered. Customers should then use the website support or chat channel to request assistance or a verified resend. We will review sending-provider delivery events and link-usage logs, without claiming that a recorded send proves receipt.

We will publish a dedicated customer-service email and support contact before paid launch. For now, this page is informational and no checkout is available.
